| 0:00.0 | Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble, and I'm your host for the Bible Recap. |
| 0:11.2 | We open today with Psalm 50, which is a strong rebuke against people who misunderstand God's heart. |
| 0:17.9 | There were Israelites who viewed the sacrificial system as a trade-off for sinning, |
| 0:22.2 | like a penalty you pay and then everything is fine again, like some kind of speeding ticket. |

| 1:34.6 | goodness, it becomes easy to think you're in control of your own future. And if you're in charge, |
| 1:40.2 | then lots of things can go wrong. And if lots of things can go wrong, then that can lead to a lot of fear and |
| 1:46.2 | striving. First five points to this. It says, there they are in great terror when there is no terror. |
