0:13.6	This is one of my favorite days of reading in all of scripture.

0:17.4	Let's go.
0:18.4	We started with round two of the story where David brings the arc into Jerusalem and
0:22.1	Mikhal is not pleased.
0:24.1	So let's walk through that story.
0:26.4	After God struck Usa dead, David becomes afraid of God.
0:30.2	We've talked about proper fear of the Lord before and it's entirely different than being
0:34.3	afraid of God.
0:36.2	Proper fear of God, the kind that rightly understands his heart, is made up of delight and awe and
0:41.8	it draws you to God.
0:44.1	But this is the kind of fear that drives a person from God.
0:47.2	David doesn't bring the arc to Jerusalem.
0:49.4	He keeps it at the house of Obed Edam instead.
0:52.7	But then once David sees how God is blessing the people who are near to him, his fears
0:58.0	are dispelled and he remembers who God is.
1:01.3	So he proceeds with bringing the arc to Jerusalem.
1:04.5	When we get into the city, we encounter Mikhal in her displeasure.
1:09.0	What's interesting right off the bat is that the text calls her Saul's daughter, not David's
1:13.8	wife, even though she's both.
1:16.2	But this focus gives us a bit of insight into their relationship.
