Day 115 of Heartdive 365. I'm your Bible study friend Kenoy. Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast.

Man, I feel like I am sitting so crooked today. If it looks that way, I think it's because of the way my

thing is set up and so I'm all twisted here. But regardless, welcome back to

Bible study, friends. We are continuing the genealogy in First Chronicles today in chapters

three through five, and we'll be reading from the ESV by Crossway Translation. And if you're new here to

this Bible study, we welcome you. We are setting a chronological reading plan. We do have a downloadable version for you on our website,

heartdive.org. So if you want to join us on this road, we would love for you to do that. You can

always either start from the beginning or just hop right in where we are. And still some questions

coming in about why we're skipping all over the place. And that is the reason why it is because

the Bible is not written in chronological order. And so we are doing our best to be able to follow the chronology of the Bible from the beginning of time through the reign of Jesus and all the way until the end when he comes back. So before we go ahead and jump into

God's word, let's prepare our hearts first through prayer. Our Father who art in heaven,

hallow would be your name. Your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, we can pray for so many things in this life on this earth have so many wants, needs,

and desires. But ultimately, what we want more than anything is your will. We know that it is good and perfect and that you are working all things together for our good. And so we thank you, Lord. As we continue to seek you and draw near to you today, we just ask that you will draw near to us. We thank you for your presence that dwells within us. I just pray, Lord, that we'll be able to feel that to know that you're with us because your promise never fails. And we know that you said that you would never leave us or forsake us. And so we trust that you're with us today through everything that we are going through, whether good or bad. And we just pray that you'll strengthen us as we read your word so that we are

able to go throughout this week with courage, with our heads up, without despair, just knowing that

you are guiding us, you are going before us, you are standing behind us, and you surround us.

Please forgive us for our sins. We just ask that you show us where we do not know that we are going

wrong. Bring us back on your path to righteousness and help us also to forgive those who have sinned against us.

We also ask, Lord, that you do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil, both externally and internally.
