Well, today we are starting a brand new book, First Chronicles, and some people are like,

wait a minute, we didn't finish Second Samuel. Yeah, we did it. But because we are using a chronological reading plan, sometimes we're going to be skipping all around here. So we are starting the first two chapters here. So lots of genealogy today. And in a way, we're kind of going back to first semester of school. You know, we're going back to what we've already read about. So it's a good refresher, I think. Reading from the ESV by Crossway Translation, but before we begin, we would love it if you could please help us out

Thank you so much for your love for us. Thank you for being our father, our friend, our present help in time of trouble.

Thank you for being our healer, our protector, our guide, both in day and night.

We thank you for the wisdom that you continue to pour into our lives through your word.

Lord, we love you so much.

And we stand here in humility and awe and reverence.

Knowing that, Lord, when we fear you, that is the beginning of wisdom.

That is where we need to come from, that place of just wonder of who you are. So thank you

for allowing us to see you, because if we don't know you, how will we ever have that type of heart?

So thank you so much for revealing yourself to us. We just ask today, as we open up your word,

your daily bread,

that that's exactly what you will do. There will be revelation. There will be encounter. You will meet

with us personally. I pray that you will touch our hearts in such a way that never been done before.

You are the God of miracles. You can do all things, Lord. And so you hear the cries of our hearts.

You know the requests that are there, Lord. So I just pray if they've been spoken or not, that you will let us know, that you hear them and that you will answer. It may not be something we want to hear. It may not be the answer that we're looking for, but we will trust you in it. Forgive us of our sins, Lord, I pray that you wash away all the chaff, anything that is keeping us from being able to see you, to hear you, and to know you, and to have that fellowship. Anything that we have done, Lord, that has missed the mark, stepped over the line, or where we have just been disobedient. I pray that you reveal it to us so that we are aware, so that we know, and so that we can go and it right. If there's anybody that we have hurt, anybody that we need to seek forgiveness from, will give us

the courage to do that, Lord, to be able to go and reconcile relationships today. Help us also to

forgive others because we know that is so necessary for our own freedom. We love you so much.

Keep us from the enemy today. We pray these things
