Summary

God draws people to himself and makes them his own. The Catechism shows us what makes God’s people different from everyone else, and what it is that unites them. Fr. Mike hones in on what exactly it is that the People of God do, and exhorts us to start doing that right here, today. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 781-786.

1:00.5	people of God, the body of Christ, and the temple of the Holy Spirit. So today we're going to talk
1:04.1	about the church as the people of God. And then tomorrow, church as the body of Christ and so forth and so on, right, as they say. So the church as the people of God, oh my goodness, you guys, we're going to highlight the first
1:15.6	paragraph, 781.
1:16.9	It is this beautiful paragraph from a document called Lumen Gensium.
1:20.9	It's from the Second Vatican Council.
1:22.7	And the whole paragraph basically is a quote from Lumen Gensium, paragraph 9.
1:29.9	And it is just, you know how when we started this whole catechism and we talked about God in a plan of sheer goodness, you know, just
1:34.4	basically the macro level of this, what God has done in this world, who God is and how he wants
1:41.1	to have a relationship with us and brings us into covenant relationship with
