Welcome to the beat. I am Mari Malware, we're covering the latest on this war in the

Middle East later. We have reporting on the new efforts to try to still pick a speaker

and we have Michael Steele coming up later on that story. Meanwhile, here is the live feed

from Gaza, Nightfall, Israel. Now estimates a larger number of civilian hostages are being

held by Hamas. Their update to that number is now 199. And there may be a potential development

on that front. We have more on that in the moments ahead. But when you look at what's happening since

the attack 11 days ago, you have a country still divided over the security failures that led to

the situation. The imagery here of the many, many innocent civilians kidnapped as well as we're

tracking the humanitarian crisis that's growing in Gaza. As for those missing or kidnapped,

it includes minors, the elderly and the sick, their families continue to speak out.

Also, I am suffering from Parkinson's disease. She's 63 every day without her medication.

Is torture? She's being tortured. Israel also has been detailing weapons that Hamas used in this

attack. Sky News reporting on Israelis still finding bodies of victims and what happened after the

initial attack. They are still finding the bodies of civilians in this cupboard. This is actually

the recovery of the Hamas attackers and they were killed here. It's interesting, but it's really

dangerous here. We're right on the front line with Gaza. Soldiers have told us to come back and

stay in this area because there's a direct line of sight. There are missiles coming in,

they said there were three shortly before we arrived. And there are booby traps. Many of the

bodies have been booby trapped. As the new week begins, we are days out from the original

evacuation deadline that was reported on, which Israel gave for Gaza residents. We have the reports

and the visuals of Israeli troops massing at the border. And while the clash is certainly
