The American public had the chance to hear directly from two of the witnesses who have decades

of experience in foreign service and have both served under presidents from both parties.

Bill Taylor, the top American diplomat in Ukraine, and George Kent, a senior State Department official.

They faced hours of questioning from lawmakers yesterday, and on live TV, they shared their take

about President Trump's efforts to get Ukraine to investigate his political rivals, including the Biden's,

and the potential impact on both Ukraine and the United States.
