0:12.6	Well, in today's lesson, we are finishing judges, chapters 19 through 21, reading from the ESV by Crossway Translation.
0:19.8	And I'm just going to warn you, this is probably the most
0:23.0	distasteful, gruesome, most horrific reading in the Bible. It is probably one of the darkest and
0:29.8	most depressing episodes, but I just want to tell you to hang in there and don't skip out. Because
0:34.8	remember, Paul says that it is important that all scripture is read,
0:38.9	because it is all useful in teaching and rebuking and correcting and training us in righteousness.
0:45.1	So when God wrote this, when this happened, he wasn't doing so in a squeamish manner, you know,
0:50.8	nor was he giving it to us with this expectation that, oh, well, they can just glance over it or read it if they want to.
0:56.7	No, he wants us to read this.
0:58.5	It is necessary so that we are able to recognize what godlessness looks like and what it will lead to.
1:05.1	And another warning, there are very mature topics that will be discussed today, especially in chapter 19.
