We're so grateful just to be alive today, Lord. Thank you for your mercies that are new every single morning. We thank you, Lord, for renewing those for us to be able to wake up each day and have a new beginning, because that's the kind of God that you are, a God of new beginnings. We're so grateful for it, Lord, and we just thank you for forgiving us. Help us also to forgive others, Lord, just the way that you have for us. And I just pray that if there's anything that we have not repented of or confessed, will you bring that to mind right now so that we can leave it at the altar and come here in this word today to read, to be able to allow the seeds to be planted on soil that is ready to hear your word. But sometimes, Lord, if we've got some hardness there, it needs to be scrubbed off. And so we give you that permission to do that right now in this moment. I thank you, Lord, for this word today. I pray that it will indeed nourish our hearts and our spirits and will prepare us for whatever you have ahead of us in these coming weeks and days. We love you so much, and we just ask that you please do not lead us into temptation, but

delivers from evil for yours is the kingdom and power and glory forever.

In Jesus' name, amen.
