0:00.0	Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.
0:07.0	We've been walking through land allotments for the 12 tribes and today we start out with the land for the descendants of Joseph.
0:19.0	If you recall Joseph Stad Jacob formally adopted Joseph's two sons, Ephraim and Manassa, so they essentially took over Joseph's place in the distribution of the inheritance.
0:29.1	Then at some point the tribe of Manassa split in half and became two half tribes.
0:34.0	One half of them wanted to live east of the Jordan River as part of the trans-jordan tribes.
0:38.0	We'll call them East Manassa.
0:40.0	And the other half inherited part of the original promised land across the Jordan.
0:44.4	We'll call that West Manassa.
0:46.4	But during a division process for the land,
0:49.4	the people who will become West Manassa
0:51.8	gets lumped in with Ephraum and they complain about it.
0:54.7	They want to be split off from each other and get land that reflects the size of each tribe.
0:59.5	I'm picturing one of those scenes in the movies where siblings share a bedroom and put tape down the
1:03.4	middle so they can mark out their own spot. Joshua agrees to their request for
1:07.7	division. He hands them the tape and tells them that they're responsible for
1:10.8	clearing the land and driving out the people in it
1:13.2	even though they seem to be bigger and stronger than them. The land they get is
1:17.6	west of the Jordan River in the Promise Land and just like we learned about
1:21.2	their brothers in East Manassa yesterday they don't drive out all the Canaanites from the land.
1:26.0	Since the Canaanites refuse to leave, they make them do manual labor.
1:30.0	We also encountered the five daughters of Zilofa had again today.
1:34.4	The last time we saw them they were marrying their cousins,
