0:00.0	Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible recap.
0:13.3	Yesterday Moses finished telling me Israelites about the blessings for keeping their covenant
0:16.8	with God and the curses for breaking it.
0:19.6	Today he opens by basically telling them, look, you're going to break this covenant.
0:23.4	God knows it, I know it, you know it.
0:25.3	So here's what you need to remember when that happens.
0:28.4	Repent.
0:29.4	Turn back to God, you won't abandon you, you will restore everything you lost when
0:34.1	you turned your back on him.
0:36.5	Yesterday we read in 29.4 that God has not yet given them a heart to understand or eyes
0:41.5	to see or ears to hear, but today we read about what will happen when they do sin and are
0:46.4	carried into captivity.
0:48.5	God will use those circumstances to change their hearts.
0:52.5	Chapter 30 verse 6 says, the Lord your God will circumsise your heart and the heart of
0:57.6	your offspring so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
1:02.4	your soul that you may live.
1:05.2	God promises that he will change their hearts, then they will turn to him and begin to obey
1:09.5	him.
1:10.5	Finally, that's what happens when God gives someone a new heart, their desires change.
1:16.2	Remember that the word heart here is a mingling of the words we use for heart and mind.
1:21.0	It's where desire and will overlap and it's what drives our actions.
1:26.0	Without a new heart, it's impossible to walk in ways that are pleasing to God.
