Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble, and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.

Cora was a coethite, the clan of Levites assigned to guard the holy vessels.

0:18.6

Today, he and three Rubinites, his next-door neighbors in the

0:21.6

encampment, conspired against Moses and Aaron. Even with the incredible access had been given to

0:27.7

the presence of God and the person of God, Cora was not satisfied with his calling. He wanted more

0:33.8

power and more influence. He rallies 250 people to be on his side in a military

1:24.7

they've gone too far and are trying to backtrack. This is basically them saying, you're not the boss of me.

1:30.8

They accused Moses of bringing them out of a land flowing with milk and honey, which, in case

1:35.5

it wasn't obvious, is not what Moses brought them out of. He brought them out of slavery.

1:40.7

The land flowing with milk and honey has always been God's language in referring to Canaan.

1:45.8

Once again, they've romanticized and idealized the past.

1:49.2

They remember their bondage fondly.

1:52.2

Not only that, but they were among those who refused to enter the actual land of milk and honey

1:56.9

when God gave the opportunity.
