0:26.3	Yesterday, Isaac and Rebecca had twin sons and God made an unusual promise to bless the younger one,
0:32.7	Jacob, instead of the older one, Esau.
0:35.5	We saw God's plan unfolding when older brother Esau sold Jacob the rights to his inheritance
0:41.5	in exchange for lentil stew.
0:44.1	And today, we'll take a few more steps in that direction when the sins of both Rebecca and Isaac
0:49.7	also play a role in this.
0:52.0	Rebecca tricks her husband into giving his blessing to her favorite son Jacob.
0:56.8	And in his heart, Isaac goes against the words of God by intending to bestow his blessing
1:01.9	on the child God had not chosen for it.
1:04.6	Both parents, sins, were warring against each other.
1:08.2	Though it's worth noting that we can't be 100% sure Rebecca had communicated God's words to Isaac.
1:13.9	Jacob isn't sinless here either.
1:16.1	Not only that, but in the course of receiving his blessing, he refers to Yahweh as Isaac's God,
1:22.2	but not his own.
1:24.2	By the way, a blessing is different than an inheritance.
1:27.6	It carries a lot more of a spiritual significance than just a financial one.
1:31.7	It's a very big deal.
