0:26.5	Yesterday, Isaac and Rebecca had twin sons and God made an unusual promise to bless the
0:32.0	younger one, Jacob, instead of the older one,
0:34.6	Esau. We saw God's plan unfolding when older brother Esau sold Jacob the rights to
0:40.8	his inheritance in exchange for lentils stew.
0:44.0	And today we'll take a few more steps in that direction
0:47.0	when the sins of both Rebecca and Isaac also play a role in this.
0:52.0	Rebecca tricks her husband into giving his blessing to her favorite son, Jacob.
0:57.0	And in his heart, Isaac goes against the words of God by intending to bestow his blessing on the child God had not chosen for it.
1:04.6	Both parents sins were warring against each other.
1:08.1	Though it's worth noting that we can't be 100% sure Rebecca had communicated God's words to Isaac.
1:14.0	Jacob isn't sinless here either.
1:16.2	Not only that, but in the course of receiving his blessing, he refers to Yaway as
1:21.1	Isaac's God, but not his own.
1:24.4	By the way, a blessing is different than an inheritance.
1:27.9	It carries a lot more of a spiritual significance than just a financial one.
1:32.0	It's a very big deal, and once it's given, it's irrevocable.
