Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.

Yesterday we saw God fulfilling his 25 year old promise to Abraham by giving him

0:17.5

a son Isaac. Today we had a pretty important story in Abraham's life.

0:22.9

There are some really unique language things happening here that we need to pay attention to.

0:27.4

So first, we started out with God's call on Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice.

1:23.0

First of all, Abraham knows that God is not going to make him kill Isaac or that if he does,

1:28.4

God will raise him from the dead, which, by the way, is something we have no biblical record of prior to this.

1:34.3

According to Hebrew 11, Abraham's faith was a huge faith. It was one that believed in something that

1:40.4

had never yet been done. But it's not the size of our faith that

1:44.7
