0:12.5	Today we read about the first children, Kane and Abel.

0:23.0	Kane and Abel carried out the sin nature of their parents.
0:25.5	The thing about being not God is that we're by nature less than perfect.
0:29.8	Yesterday when God finished creating, he declared it very good and he blessed man.
0:34.4	But being very good and being blessed are entirely different than being perfect and complete.
0:39.7	There is zero chance that imperfect man would live up to God's standard of perfection.
0:44.4	And we saw that played out today when Kane murdered his brother Abel.
0:48.6	What's interesting to me in this passage is that this murder happened about 2,500 years
0:52.5	before God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.
0:55.5	But Kane still knew murder was wrong even though it hadn't been written out on the tablets.
1:00.6	Those stone tablets weren't necessary for mankind to know right from wrong.
1:04.6	Kane even knew what gestures required.
1:06.6	He knew there would be a natural consequence for his actions.
1:09.8	Because in 414, he feared other people killing him and response to him killing his brother.
1:14.9	One of the things people often ask when they read this story is where did Kane's wife

1:19.5	Because we see in 417 that he got married.
