I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Oshfin, and today we are talking about

Dawn of the Dead from 2004, directed by Zach Snyder, written by James Gunn, starring Sarah

Polly, Ving Rames, Jack Weber, Mackay Fifer, and Ty Borell. Not unlike the original, this movie

is about a group of strangers who take shelter in a shopping mall during

the zombie apocalypse, but this time the zombies are fast. And we're of course doing this as part

of our month of remakes, reboots, and reimagining. Ashton, you've seen this one already, right?

Yeah, I saw it like back maybe 2004, 2005, but it definitely had been a while. What about you? I had never

seen it. Oh, no kidding. Yeah. Like, we was always on my radar. I just somehow I never watched it.

Yeah, that's crazy. I feel like, you know, it came out while we were in college, and there was one

channel on TV where we would just like always be playing

on repeat and so I feel like I saw this like three or four times like a year for like a year or two.

You know that makes sense because a lot of people, a lot of our listeners commented when we said

we were doing this like oh I loved that movie. Everyone seems crazy about it.

Yeah, it seems like about it. Yeah.

It seems like it's hitting an intersection of like a time in people's lives when they saw this probably.

Yeah, maybe, maybe.

I think it's been on a lot of like top horror movies of that decade list and stuff

like that.
