Hello, Dog Nation. Welcome into our Dog Nation Postgame show. We are live here at the UGA Bookstore. My name is Brandon Adams. We'll have a chance to hear coming up in a moment from Davin Bellamy, the terrific former dog. Jeff Sintel will stop by. We'll get a word from the UGA locker room here there as well. We'll hear from Georgia players, Coach Kirby Smart. A lot to discuss as Georgia has won tonight, 4131, against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The good news is it's an SEC win.

The good news is Georgia avoids the upsets that have plagued, and frankly even the near upsets,

that have plagued so many teams around this conference thus far this year.

The bad news is this is a game which Georgia

came in this afternoon as more than a 30-point favor, only winning by 10, having to fight

essentially a slug fest in the second half to preserve the victory that they got. So I think there's a lot

on both sides of the ledger here today, things that you perhaps liked about Georgia,

certainly a step forward on offense, you would say, a career day for Carson Beck in terms

of overall passing yards, albeit with some interceptions, Georgia finding 40 plus points

today. That's not something that's happened with regularity thus far in the 2024 season.

So you like all of that.

Perhaps the most concerning thing is, especially in the third quarter, a lot of big passing

plays successfully executed by Mississippi State, long, deep throws that turned what at halftime

looked like Georgia coasting to an easy victory somewhere near the neighbor

of the point spread to a situation where you kind of wondered if Mississippi State

might really stick around for the full of 60 minutes and put themselves in a

position where they eventually had a chance to win the game.
