The decision for him was the obvious one. He's going to be a free agent. He's coming off a great season, and he's going to get paid. And the Wizards aren't any good and have no chance to do anything with or without him anyway. So David, this is an important thing

to talk about because other players could follow suit.

But before we get to some of those guys,

if you're the Wizards, you can't really

push Bert hands to play either because you're hoping to

resign him you don't want him to get hurt right? I think it's more about even

beyond just risking his injury you want to make sure that you don't

incur any kind of bad will with him or other potential free agents and things

of that sort you don't want to be the team that pushes free agents to potentially risk their health and jeopardize their futures.

I mean, everybody's after a paycheck in the league and that's pretty clear.

And so I don't think the Wizards can position themselves as a team that

Alienates anybody especially when they've never really had the kind of a drawing power that other teams have so absolutely they can't push them
