Now your host, Eric Mataxis. Hey there, folks. This is the Eric Mataxis show. This is the show where I get to talk about whatever I want with whomever I want. Actually, not with whomever I want because there are a lot of people deceased. There's no way they're coming on the program. There are a lot of people that just don't want to come on the program. We can't reach them. But every now and again, I get to connect with somebody that I want to speak with. And that's the show. That's it. Today, I have, I think, rather a special treat. Very recently, I discovered David Wood. I believe it was our producer, Chris Himes, that sent me a video.

And to say that I was captivated would be kind of an understatement.

David Wood has a story, unlike any I've ever heard.

And because of the story, I think whatever else David Wood says is particularly compelling.

Just recently, he spoke about police violence and how a group of people, for example,

black Americans might come to perceive cops differently than the

rest of us. It was tremendously compelling. But when you hear his story, which I want to talk to him

about right now, it all becomes that much more compelling. So David Wood, forgive the long,
