I'm McGarris and from Nice Guy Productions lonely hillside world headquarters overlooking the vast San Fernando Valley.

This is post-mortem.

Though we have a couple of shows recorded as of this podcast, we've considered taking a bit of a hiatus while the world percolates through this virus that has affected each and every one of us. However, my friend Josh Olson, screenwriter of David Cronenberg's The History of Violence,

and co-host with Joe Dante of the Indispensable Movies that Made Me, Convince me that we serve a need,

that it's important that we soldier on and keep doing what we do.

It's important, especially in times of crisis,

to carry on if we are able to bring people together to keep the

forum fresh and contemporary to continue to bring you new shows and continue the conversation. So though this episode was recorded before all hell broke loose,

we will continue to conduct conversations with the most interesting voices in the horror genre,

but by Skype rather than face to face.

We hope to be able to keep up the deep intimate nature of our chats with a screen between

us and with luck listeners won't even notice.

The last trip I took out of town just before the coronavirus led to massive shutdowns

was to Pensacola, Florida for the Pensacond Convention. It was there that I met the legendary actor David

Warner and we were able to do our podcast with a small but eager audience. For the unfamiliar,

Warner is the consummate character actor, though he began in the

60s as a charming leading man in movies like Tom Jones and Morgan.

Though he has not been as active in the last two years as he has in the preceding five decades or so, you'd

know him if you saw him. A brilliant and flexible actor, his career turned toward brilliant baddies with a wicked sense of humor, autocratic
