0:00.0 | Okay, welcome to the Eric Mataxe Show. Eric is in disposal at the moment. I'm afraid he's been having GI problems in uncomfortable bloating, but I'm sure he'll be out in a gift. |
0:18.0 | Oh, here he is now looking pale and shaken. Oh, you okay little buddy? The Eric Mataxe Show. |
0:25.0 | I don't know what he's talking about. No, I don't need. I mean, what what's going on? You do look a little pale, but I think it's something else. |
0:33.0 | Yeah, it's something else. Something you want. Okay, Albin, as you know, and I know, and the people listening know today's Friday. Yes, that's good. |
0:42.0 | We just in hour one today, I hope you didn't miss hour one because we were able to unpack what we're doing with CSI, CSI Christian Solidarity International. We're doing a fundraiser for them this month. |
0:56.0 | And we had on two of the principal people who run that organization, absolutely phenomenal to hear from them. Yes, what they're doing. It's one thing for us to yak. But when you hear them talk, they're right there on the ground. |
1:10.0 | And I'm happy to miss that because a lot of times people ask, you know, where's God? Where is God alive today? What about all these suffering people? Well, if you listen to hour one today, John Ibnur and Joel Vanderspeck, they are doing God's work along with your help because those of you who give to see a site, you make it possible. |
1:33.0 | You want to talk about God's work. They are literally redeeming the captives. They are literally freeing slaves. And the most amazing thing. There's a cap, someone who's in captivity for 29 years, 250 American dollars frees a slave like that. |
1:51.0 | It's just it's amazing. It's almost embarrassing when you think about how wealthy we are in the West that for that kind of amount of money, we can affect a life forever. It's a little chilling. It's one of these things that you think, I don't want that much responsibility. But folks, God has given us the gift to be able to do that. And so our job is to pass on the blessing. So whatever you can give. Again, go to metaxistalk.com. |
2:19.0 | If you didn't hear hour one, you're missing something because I have to say when you when you hear these folks talk, it's encouraging because you start thinking God is at work in the world today. People say, there's all the suffering. Where's God? Listen to hour one. And you will see that God is doing tremendous things. And by the way, you know, the other question is when you start asking, where's God? Then God says, and where are you? Are you helping? Are you doing something? Not all of us can give a lot of money. |
2:48.0 | But usually we can give something. But when you listen to CSI, you listen to what these people are doing with almost nothing with very little money. It's pretty dramatic. And so I want to say that to encourage you. |
3:00.0 | Yeah. And any amount $20.50. Of course, at $100, you get a free membership to metaxis super. |
3:06.0 | Well, it's a whole you'll hear all that. Now in this hour, we're going to talk to David and Tamela Mann in the studio. They are so much fun. |
3:15.0 | If you know who they are, if you don't know who they are in a couple of minutes, you'll know everything you need to know about them. I've got a lot of announcements, Albin. But first before I make the announcements, I want to say Hillsdale College, they are the nation's one of the nation's oldest colleges. |
3:31.0 | But I guess I want to say that the oldest colleges in America, most of them were founded almost every single one were founded on biblical principles to teach their students about God. |
3:44.0 | About truth, about goodness, about beauty. And you went to one of them. And I went to one of them, which was founded in 1701, Yale University. And most of them, not long after they were founded, not only slipped away from their original missions, but came to a place where they have repudiated those missions, although they would never admit it. They lost what they had filed. They lost what they had found exactly. And they are really not doing what the people who founded them today. |
4:13.0 | They're also going to have the people who founded them to do one of them to do, you know, it's one of these horrible things. It's mission drift, right? Well, Hillsdale College, the reason I'm bringing them up is that, in 175 years now they're entering 175 year. They are dead on mission. |
4:28.0 | They offer the very best liberal arts education in the country. And they also extend their mission to teach, you know, about religious liberty, about the Constitution, about what is the good, the true, and the beautiful, what is right and wrong, what is virtue, what is honor, all that stuff that was part and parcel with a real education through the last centuries, that's mostly gone, but a place like Hillsdale, it is front and center, they have a core curriculum. They also want to give these things to you, right? You don't have to be a student. |
4:58.0 | So if you get a metaxis for Hillsdale.com, there is zero obligation. There's nothing. They're not asking you for money. They have been financially blessed and they are wanting to give you things. And so this is just an opportunity for me to tell you, if you go to metaxis for Hillsdale.com, you can find out all the stuff that they're offering you. They often offer online courses, which are college courses taught by their college professors on the Constitution, on Congress, all kinds of great stuff for you to do. |
5:27.0 | Whatever age you are, wherever you are in life, they have a free speech digest called imprimus. They have a Kirby Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, DC. I have been there. They have a Barney Charter School initiative helping to establish classical K through 12 charter schools, nation wide, really, really amazing work. That's Hillsdale.
