My name is Jay Brown.

And whether this is your first time listening or you're a

returning friend, I would like to express my gratitude to you at a time where our attention

is so highly valued. It's no small thing that you have chosen to listen. So thank you.

And I don't know when it is that you might be listening to this, but at the time of its recording,

the summer is upon us here in my hometown of eastern Pennsylvania. So I'm up here in the attic and it's hot,

but I kind of like it. I'm enjoying the first warmth of the season. And the other thing that's

really cool is this year, we've got lots of fireflies.

I do not remember seeing this many fireflies any other years.

I mean, maybe when we first moved here, but not really.

I don't remember seeing fireflies the way I've been seeing them.

And they're the coolest thing.

I don't know if you've ever experienced fireflies in person, but pretty awesome, miraculous phenomena of nature to behold.

And I've been really trying to focus on things like that more than the harsh financial realities of trying to be

a yoga teacher. If you were here last week, I was talking about that sum, and I did get some

some really lovely feedback. Thank you to those of you who cared enough to send me a note.

It's interesting, though, how when I first got into yoga, it was at a time in my life where I was

having to decide where I was going to go in life, like what sort of job I was going to get

or what sort of identity I was going to kind of take on
