I'm Debra Triesman, fiction editor at The New Yorker.

The August 29th issue of The Magazine is an archival issue bringing together pieces from

past issues of The Magazine on the theme of celebrity.

The issue features fiction by Miranda July, the story Roy Spivey, which was published in

The New Yorker in 2007.

Instead of a writer's voice episode this week, we're re-releasing an episode of The New

Yorker Fiction Podcast, taped in 2012, in which David Sederis reads Roy Spivey and

discusses it with me.
