David Schnitker of Southwest Prophecy Ministries, David, welcome to Prophecy Watchers.

It's great to be back with you, Gary.

And we've been talking about your book on another

program that we're doing, but I thought I'd take a few minutes and just introduce you to David

and his book, Zechariah, Israel, and Her Coming King. You've written a book on Zechariah,

and my first question to you is, why in the world did you write a book on Zechariah?

Well, that's a great question, Gary. I have been interested in the book all the way back to my Bible college days, back in the dark ages.

I had an assignment in my Old Testament class on basically doing a report on Zechariah.

And I have to admit, I knew very little about it.

So I did some research on it and wrote a paper

and stuck it in my file folder until about a few years ago.

And the Lord just kind of stirred my heart to expand on that.

So for the last four years or so, I thought it was an unusual book, Gary, because it dealt

with not only prophecies concerning the future, which other Old Testament books like Daniel

or Isaiah, but but also had prophecies

concerning the first coming of Christ. And so to see both of those together in a fairly

small book, only 14 chapters, tucked away at the end of the Old Testament, it just intrigued

me. And so as much as for anything else, I

studied it to gain an understanding. And particularly the first six chapters, which just

on first glance, just seemed impregnable to the understanding. You know, you've got ephaws,
