When you look at the Met rotation, Louis Severino here for a year, get as much as you can out of them.

Same with Sean Manaya, right?

They're only here probably temporarily.

Christian Scott, you're watching him and you're hoping towards the future.

Jose Quintana, same kind of thing, you're here for the year.

With David Peterson, I look at him and say, I think I've already made my decision on him.

Now he is a lefty, and the one thing you always keep in mind with lefties that even when they're past 30,

you never know when they're going to put it all together.

You never know what it's going to click.

So with Peterson and McGill, who I think we all kind of came to our conclusions on over the last year.

It's going to take a lot for us to say,

hey, that's a guy who should be in the 2025 rotation.

But look, the opportunity's right in front of him.

He's in this rotation.

And depending on how things go over the next month and a half

and how the Mets act at the trade deadline,

there's a really good chance that if they ship out

a show on mania or they ship out a Louis Severino that even with the emergence of Blade Tidwell even with that, Peterson is going to get his

crack for the full season. So, all right, now it's your last chance. I thought last year was his last

chance. Now is your last chance. And what he did on Tuesday night granted

dates against the Nationals team that's put up some of the worst offensive numbers in baseball is he went out and he delivered

He got a lot of ground balls got a lot of soft contact didn't strike a lot of guys out.
