you may remember the movie called The Fighter.

His newest film as writer-director is an adaptation of the novel,

The Silver Linings Playbook.

David, it's so good to have you back.

Thanks, Elvis. It's a pleasure

to have been talking to you for now 11 years, actually 13 years. Back when you were a

hungry young filmmaker and now you've got two films under your belt in the last five years.

It's got to feel really good to be just back in the game again, just doing them back to back like this, doesn't it?

It feels great. You know, I mean, I feel like that's the refreshing thing about if you have a

period where you got a little lost, you know, sometimes that's a good thing. I think, I think

if you keep working, you can find your way out of it. And I think that's what, you know, about five years ago,

six, seven years ago after Huckabees, you know,

I think I had, even probably before Huckabees,

I think that I suffered from being too ponderous

or overthinking the things I was working on

and not being instinctive enough.
