David served as a CIA analyst for six years under the Bush and Obama administrations. He worked in the Middle East and at the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center concentrating on Syria and Iraq. He also wrote for the President’s Daily Brief, gave classified testimony to congressional oversight committees, and briefed ambassadors, senior White House officials, military officers, and foreign dignitaries. David’s first novel, Damascus Station, was published in 2021.
