Welcome to the Sports Media Podcast. I'm your host, Richard Dyche. My producer is Patrick Antonetti. This is U.S. Open Week, one of my favorite things to cover in my career.

And so who better to have on than the tri hosts of the exploding in popularity and publicity,

the tennis podcast, David Law, Catherine Whitaker,

and Matt Roberts are the pilots of that. They've been on the show before. Time magazine just name this podcast on its list of the 100 best podcasts of all time. So that is a massive compliment to them. Now, I'm going to be very honest. That list was all kinds of garbage leadism, to be very blunt. Welcome to the sports media podcast. Thank you for having us. Good to be here. You're welcome. I mean, when you see the number of downloads, you can be incredibly disappointed with this appearance. But I appreciate you slumming regardless. All right.

1:49.4

How influential now is this podcast, in your opinion, the tennis community?

1:54.7

I think that we are listened to by a lot of people that kind of feel like they matter.

2:04.2

Well, certainly big names, you know, Mary Carillo, Billy Jean King, Pam Shriver,

2:10.4

people you would know.

2:12.0

And I think also just inevitably you find when you go on site to a tennis tournament, people are coming up to us and talking about things that we might have said or subjects that come up.

2:26.6

So we don't always know really how much of an impact we're having until those sort of things happen.

2:33.2

And, you know, it's incremental.

2:35.6

We're in our 14th year.
