Good morning, it's David Lammy here in for James O'Brien, leading Britain's conversation.

And normally, at this time of year, we would all be preparing to go back to work.

And kids would be going back to school.

We would be looking into this new year, 2021.

And what are we got instead?

We've got a bit of chaos, haven't we?

We've got chaos because we've got Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock suggesting that

tier three will not be enough for the parts of the country still in tier three, that we will need

more restrictions, but yet to tell us what those restrictions are. And we've got here in London, schools not going back,

but 78% of the country is still in tier four, and the schools are back. What is the difference

between your kids that are in tier four areas and tier four areas here in London, please call in

and let me know because I can't work it out. So we've got chaos basically. And I want to hear

from you, your views, about whether we should be in another national lockdown, not because we

want to be. Of course,

none of us want to be, but we all know, as the government has said, that it's going to be at least

until Easter before we get to a place where sufficient people have had access to this vaccine.

So we've got to get from here to there, which is a good three, four months away.

And in the meantime, what's going on in our ICU wards? What's going on in our hospitals? What do the

daily figures tell us in relation to infections? Infections are up right across the country in tier four areas and in tier three areas.

And very, very sadly, our doctors and nursing are working, they're working there to the bone,

but people are losing their lives.
