Hey guys, Lee here.

Andy asked me to record some of my thoughts about the race, so here it goes.

the race. Okay, so this was the first time I'd actually sailed on East Bjorn, which was kind of

funny because I've known Andy and Mia for a while, and we've hung out and done a lot of sailing

related things through the years, including, you know, we were rafted up, we were rafted up

in Back Creek for weeks while we were doing

the final push to get both boats ready for sailing south in 2015.

But I actually have never been on the boat in the ocean sailing with him.

So it was cool to finally be able to do that.

Anyway, I can now say without a doubt that I have sailed the heck

out of that boat, and it is quite a sailing machine. Especially coming from a smaller boat like

ours, the loads on East Bjorn are much greater than Satoria or really any boat that I've

been on. So it's quite serious when you're sailing that boat

and especially so when you're sailing it that hard.

So getting back to the actual race,

I'd say the highlight of the Caribbean 600 for me

was the start.

And I wrote about this on the blog,

but that was something that had never really experienced

before and probably will never experience again. Being that close to all those giant boats in 25 knots
