David Feldman is in New York City and the man of the hour Ralph Nader is in

Washington DC. good morning gentleman good morning

David good morning Steve

Ralph this week the spending bill is before the house the Senate and possibly

our president and at the last minute before the House, the Senate, and possibly our President.

And at the last minute, they put in some corporate goodies.

Are they good or bad for America?

Well, this is what happens in the last few days of the congressional session.

I was down on the hill or what's known as Withering Heights, Capitol Hill yesterday and it was quite an interesting visual.

There were limousines around the various office buildings of the Senate and the House.

There were huddles of men in three-piece suits both in the corridors and outside

the buildings. I didn't see many citizen advocates scurrying around the halls of course they're tremendously

outnumbered and what's this all about it's all about a monster bill called the

omnibus bill which is a procrastination innovation by the Congress for not dealing with the parts of it in a

procedurally traditional way with significant hearings etc.

So they're trying to keep the government open,

so they got all these different budget appropriations,
