Welcome to Dedicated. I'm your host Doug Brunt. Today we're talking to David Decovney. He is an English literature PhD candidate at Yale. And in one of the greatest sliding door stories of

all time, he paused his PhD work. He did not become Dr. DeCovney, and probably the

most handsome English professor in American history. He started doing some theater around Yale,

and before too long, he was a household name as an award-winning actor in feature films and

hit TV shows like The X-Files and Californication.

But the spirit of Dr. DeCovney lives on.

He has written for television, including some episodes of The X-Files.

And he's also the best-selling author of six books, including his latest Kepler, which we have

here, a graphic novel.
