Hello and welcome to Story Time for Grownups.

I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.

Each episode I'll read a few chapters from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations, so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes.

So brew a pot of tea, find a cozy? I don't know. I feel very motherly toward David. I feel like I just want to give him a hug and say, it's okay. Everybody goes off the rails every once in a while.

Just get yourself back on track. I don't know. That's how I feel after that chapter. We'll talk about it. But before I do, I have a quick announcement, which is that next week I am going to be away. I am traveling for my kids have spring break. We're traveling for Easter and spring break. so I'm not going to be here, but don't worry, that doesn't mean there won't be episodes or chapters.

There will be, but it means that those

episodes are going to be pre-recorded. So today's is not. Today, I have your questions and I'm

going to answer them. But in the episodes that are coming up, so the April 6th episode and the

April 9th episode, I will be talking without your questions, because I'm going to record them in advance and have them queued up for you so that you get them, even though I'm not actually here. So I just wanted to let you know about that. I will alert you that that's what's going on in those episodes, but it's just going to be two episodes, and then I'll be. Please do keep your questions and comments coming, though, because I would love to know how you're reacting to these chapters, because if there's something that's been really on your minds, if I'm getting a lot of letters about a particular thing, but I didn't cover it in my introduction, then I will bring them up when I'm back.
