David Chalmers, welcome to Philosophy Bites.

Thanks, great to be here.

The topic we're going to focus on today is Technoph philosophy and the extended mind.

Could you just begin by just say briefly what techno philosophy is?

Technoph philosophy, as I think of it, is a two-way interaction between philosophy and technology.

Thinking philosophically about technology, like artificial intelligence, virtual reality, smartphones in order to help make sense

of them.

But at the same time time using technology to shed light on some

traditional philosophical questions, using virtual reality to shed light on our knowledge

of the external world.
