Summary

Well, this is it. After over six years of hosting, interviewing, music and creativity, David Blower is bowing out.
In his final episode Tim and David reflect on David’s nomad journey, answer listener questions, and listen to some music. And, of course, talk about the Nah Box and signs of hope.
So raise a glass, wipe the tear from your eye, and enjoy a final hour in the company of DBB.

The Welcome back to Nomad Podcast. I'm Tim Nash and this is for the last time as a nomad host, David Benjamin Blower.

0:44.6

Hello Tim. So mate, it's been, how long has it been? Has it been six years, pushing seven years?

0:50.3

I think it's been seven odd years. Wow. Of podcasting here. Yeah, yeah. That's a lot of years. Seven years ago, I was in my early 40s and people weren't referring to me as a middle-aged man. Now in 50, I've got a metal hip and a lot of grey hair. We're both considerably greyer, aren't we?

1:10.0

We really are, yeah.

1:11.2

And you're very bearded, I noticed today, mate.

1:13.6

Yeah, my beard's really grown some.

1:16.4

It's as big as it's ever been, and a little more.

1:19.3

That's the kind of beard that needs to be shown on social media, I think.

1:22.9

It's probably up there somewhere.

1:24.7

Your beard's looking very trim and neat.

1:26.8

Always, mate. It's barely up there somewhere. Your beard's looking very trim and neat. Always, mate.

1:27.7

It's barely even a beard. I've purely grow this because I can't be bothered to shave.

1:32.0

So like once a week, I just give it a little trim and that's all I have to do. And that's all it's

1:36.8

ever meant to me. Right. Yeah, you've never sort of experimented with different things you could do with it.

1:43.4

I think you would look good with

1:44.3

handlebars. Quite possibly, but I just don't like hassle. Like low maintenance is one of my

1:50.9

kind of mottoes for life. Just everything is about low maintenance and that is reflected in my beard.

1:57.2

So it is. This is also, feels remarkable because when was the last time we podcasted?

2:02.7

Oh, mate. It's years, I think, isn't it?

2:05.7

Yeah, I can't remember. Because basically, whenever you record an interview, that was an opportunity for me to have a break.

2:12.4

So then you'd do the reflection with like Joy or Nick or Anna.
