Welcome to The Treatment. I'm Elvis Mitchell. I recently recorded an interview with D.B. Wies and David Beniof, the executive producers

of HBO's Game of Thrones series at New World School in Tannen Monica. It discussed bringing

George R.R.R. Martin's epic novels to the screen. Okay, I feel like I'm sitting in Westeros,

some of a little ways away from these guys, but... It's kind of throny. Let me ask you this.

I mean, as I sit down, Dan, I think about that line from your book,

the only thing harder than finishing a massive project is starting it.

Where did you guys decide to start?

Because I even wonder how you chose the title Game of Thrones,

given the names of all the other books.

The fact that you're one of the eight people who have read my book is kind of

blowing my mind. I have to say.
