Hello and welcome to full disclosure. Yet again, an edition of my podcast that is contained within the parameters of the

lockdown but nevertheless fulfills the criteria of offering me a chance to spend a little bit more time

than is ordinarily available with someone that I hope we all find interesting and I'm fairly

confident that David Bidil falls in to that category David thank you joining us. Let's let's begin by asking how you're finding this curious chapter in British history.

Well, I'm on holiday at the moment from what?

From what? From my life and from life.

And so it's kind of slightly weird that these days one can't have a holiday from social media.

Well, this one tries very hard not to, which of course is what happened to some extent

when a number of people, Jewish and people who felt sympathy and solidarity with Jewish

people because of what's happened, decided to walk off social media. And a tiny part of me,

in terms of how I'm finding it, just thought that was quite good for my mental health. Like,

not much to do with, you know, racism and the politics of how to deal with it. I think it was just quite good to have a reason to be off social media for 48 hours.

So that was good.

We'll probably come to whether or not the boycott itself was the right thing to do in a minute.
