Schoonover, who is the CEO of crowd health.

I've never done this before, but since Andy's product is something that I thought is of

interest to a lot of you and bears explaining at length, I was happy to bring him on to discuss

this now.

What crowd health does is provides market based alternatives to the corporate government

health care system.

Andy, can you explain why you had this idea and how it works as an alternative to traditional

health care?

Yeah, sure.

So I had sold my company and it was rolling off of that.

And so like many Americans was not getting my health insurance to my employer.

And so I went to healthcare.gov, which I thought was my only alternative.

My wife and my two girls got on as $1,200 a month.

And it worked great until I actually had to use it.

So my little one was having a recurring ear infection.

So we go to the ear nose and throat doctor who said she needs tubes in her ears, go to

the local hospital, get tubes in her ears, got the bill for $8,000 for 15 minute procedure.

And the health insurance plan said they weren't going to cover it because it was medically

unnecessary.

Even though we have an ear nose and throat doctor looking into her ears, she had a perforated

ear drum and said it was medically unnecessary.
