Summary

Washington State has not had a Republican governor for over forty years. FORTY YEARS! Today, I’m joined by the man who I believe could end the string of bad leaders in our state. Dave Reichert is running to bring hope and common sense back to Washington State, and the stakes have never been higher. Listen in as we go beyond the rhetoric to the real issues we’re facing here and around the nation. We’ve been struggling for a long time with high taxes, bad legislation and over-regulation in Washington, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Together, we can change what’s wrong, fix what’s broken and do what’s right for Washington.

0:00.0	Dave Reichert had a distinguished 33 year law enforcement career at the King County Sheriff's office,
0:05.8	starting as a beat cop and later becoming appointed and elected King County Sheriff,
0:11.0	leading the 1200 person organization for eight years.
0:14.7	He then worked as the lead investigator on the Green River serial killer case, where young
0:19.3	women were murdered during the 1980s, and in 2004 2004 he was honored with the National
0:24.7	Sheriff's Association's Sheriff of the Year Award. In 2004 Reichert ran and won
0:30.3	election to Washington State's 8th Congressional District and would go on to
0:34.3	win a total of seven terms in Congress.
0:37.7	Dave is undefeated at the ballot box.
0:40.2	Reicher was honored to be just a handful of freshman members of Congress at the time
0:45.0	and selected to chair a subcommittee and was respected by members on both sides of the political aisle
0:51.0	for his willingness to listen and work to find common sense
0:54.0	solutions to real problems. During his time in Congress, Reichert helped in
0:58.2	emergency preparedness tax reform, expanding trade opportunities for our
1:01.8	farmers and small businesses and giving the
1:04.3	police the support they deserve. After retiring from Congress in 2019, Dave Reichert
1:09.7	has been instrumental in helping law enforcement across the country to obtain rapid DNA technology
1:15.6	which provides a DNA profile in just 90 minutes and he's been working on ending human trafficking in
1:22.2	Central America and is back to help show
1:24.8	Washington there's a way forward to fix what's broken. I had the privilege of
1:29.1	meeting Dave Reichert recently and have since become a huge supporter and today I've invited him to come
