and had them go sideways once they graduated. What's your stance on them?

Obviously, they're a bad idea,

but if they were taken out,

whose responsibility should it be to pay them once they come due?

Hmm.

Well, I mean, legally it's the parents' name on the bill.

And so, I mean, I guess from like a legal perspective, it's the parents.

I mean, what's frustrating about this whole thing, though, is that, and we've heard this

multiple times, is that, you know, the student agrees with the parent that they'll pay it,

you know, but the parent takes out the parent plus loan.

And the student fails to tell their new fiance and then you get married and four years later.

Doesn't get a job.

Mom and dad go, you remember that time you said you were going to pay this loan and they go,

now I didn't.

Yeah, that's what happened.

We hear that all the time, don't we?

Well, that or the student doesn't pay and then the the parents, like, well, I guess I have to pay it, and then they're frustrated.

I mean, like, it's just, it ends up being this, like, tangled mess relationally.

But whose responsibility, once it comes due?

Whoever promised to pay it morally.
