0:16.7	Well, I'm a little embarrassed because this is really going to showcase my ignorance of the subject, but I've got a few questions about the national debt.
0:24.7	I don't know if you've heard, but we are in debt a little bit.
0:28.2	I heard the rumor.
0:30.2	Yep.
0:30.5	So I've got three questions for you.
0:32.3	Okay.
0:32.7	The first one is, who do we owe this $33 trillion to?
0:37.7	The second one is why, as a country, did we borrow it in the first place?
0:42.4	And the third one is, is it even possible or logical for our federal government to pay off
0:48.7	this debt and operate debt free?
0:51.7	Those are great questions.
0:53.9	Well, who we owe the money to or whoever bought the Treasury bills are called T-bills.
0:59.8	And the Treasury of the United States issues a bond.
