49-year-old man is in custody following a spree of bank robberies in Seattle,

culminating in his arrest after police discovered a crucial piece of evidence

at a Capitol Hill Goodwill store.

On the afternoon of January 16th, the suspect entered the Columbia Bank on Broadway Avenue East,

presenting a teller with a note demanding cash and claiming he was armed.

Teller complied, and the suspect then fled on foot. Despite the collection of evidence by

latent print specialist, the suspect initially evaded capture. But just hours later, a

goodwill employee alerted authorities after discovering an apparent bank robbery note in one of the stores changing rooms.

Responding officers reviewed surveillance footage from the thrift store, which led them to the man.

Police apprehended him and recovered cash believed to be stolen during the robbery.

Further investigation revealed that that same man,

he was responsible for a similar robbery the previous day at the downtown BECU on 6th Avenue.

He was subsequently booked in the King County Jail for both of those incidents.

You know, one of our more astute YouTube viewers there, they had a fairly good point.

I'm not saying this is the wholesome thing to do,

but they were like, look, if you were to rob a bank today, okay, they said, let's hope the dip packs are blue and or green because you fit in as a Hawks fan.
