Leadership is an extraordinary task. If you ask 10 people what leadership means, you'll probably get 10 different answers.

And to lead people in any situation takes a lot of things, courage, humility, tenacity,

conviction, wisdom, the list goes on and on.

Sometimes leadership means charging a hill through a volley of enemy fire and

rallying your troops to follow. It means allowing your troops to follow.

It means allowing your troops to eat first

and you eat last.

It means making hard decisions, even unpopular decisions.

If you're not pissing someone off every now and again as a leader

you're just not doing your job. More often than not, the greatest leader is the one

who's failed the most who's made mistakes

learned from them and got back on their feet. When asked for advice, great

leaders tell you of their failures in the lessons they learned

more often than their triumphs.

And through it all, it's a fighting mentality that pushes the greatest leaders through struggle and into greatness.

My guest today is that type of leader.
