0:00.0	Hi, I'm Coach Quay Wayne, and today we're going to talk about some really fascinating numbers on non-monogamous type of relationship.
0:10.0	So there's a U-Gov poll from January with 1,300 adults, and about one-third of U.S. adults say their ideal relationship is non-monogamous.
0:26.3	And what's interesting is the millennials say 43% of them say their ideal relationship is non-monogamous.
0:33.8	Though an equal percentage, 43% of this generation say their ideal relationship is completely monogamous.
0:40.3	It's so fascinating that such a high, like the younger generations are like, I don't want to be exclusive or tied down to anybody.
0:49.3	What do you guys think about that?
0:51.3	I wish I knew a little bit more about this. In other words, is it non-monogamous in the sense that they want to have like a boyfriend or a girlfriend but still be able to see others? Or is it they don't even want that boyfriend or girlfriend and they just really just want to have fun? They don't want to be exclusive with anybody. That's what non-monogamy is. It means you can date each other but date other people.

1:17.0	Well, do they want one rather consistent source, though, a consistent relationship but still have others on the side or are they just playing the field whatever comes

So you have to spend a lot more time around the other person. And when you're a long-term relationship, especially when you're living with somebody, you're kind of existing together, if you will. And so people that didn't really like each other to begin with, and now you're forced to live under the same roof 24-7, I mean, I can't remember off the top of my head, if maybe you guys do, what the open
2:03.9	relationship was that I think was up like 40-something percent, over 40 percent of couples
2:11.2	were saying, and to me, when I look at that, it's, I mean your divorce rates 50% that's just indicative a lot of
2:19.7	people in relationships are not happy and then so if you're stuck at home and you got lots of
2:24.1	downtime you get time to contemplate and think a lot of people had a had life epiphanies
2:29.6	like I don't really like this person I don't want to be with person anymore. And so dating other people while you're still in a relationship is a way,
2:39.4	it's kind of like a safe way to monkey branch and try to find somebody better,
2:43.7	but don't blow up what you got because you might not.
