It is a very great honor to be here at the Naval Academy

and to be invited to speak for such a vibrant chapter of the TI,

but I'm afraid that my talk is going to run a little shorter than you might expect.

Because it's actually quite simple to date like Mr. Darcy fellas if you want the Fitzwilliam Darcy guide

of land step two you got to go to a party with your best friend, and as you're scanning the room for potential future wives, because what else would you be doing at a party?

Make sure that you insults the sister of the girl your best friend clearly likes.

Oh, and make sure that the sister can hear you insulting her too. And then as

soon as you're finished insulting her, take another look at her and realize actually she's gorgeous.

And then when the party's over, hang out with your best friend as much as possible on the off chance

you'll see her again. And when you do, really just be as awkward as possible as it slowly

dawns on you that this woman that you

initially brushed off is intelligent, witty, deeply cares about her family and likes all the

same things that you like.

And then as you're having a freak out about how you've totally messed up your chances with

the woman of your dreams, notice that your childhood friend turned nemesis is flirting with

her, the very man who attempted to seduce your
