In the middle of my turn, the man repeated himself, squeezing the wheel again,

and suddenly he grabbed the back of my neck hard with his hand, forcing me to lean down.

There was a figure standing about a foot away from the window,

in the bare space between the shrubs and the house.

They were staring at us.

But when my back was turned, he pulled me down to the ground,

wrestled me till he was able to put me in a chokehold.
