Darryl Dixon. Aaron, we're here for episode two of season one called Alouette.

At least that's how I've always pronounced it based on the song that they taught us in

grade school. What do you think of this episode? Man, we're just never going to get that

zombie baby for you, Jim. I don't get it. They keep on teasing it. Like I was somewhat

shocked to see a living baby pulled from a zombie mother this episode. I don't know this

episode. It's like the first time I watched it, I'm like, gosh, this is kind of like dull and

I really liked the flashback stuff to what's your name Isabel? Isabel? Enter sister. And I found

that like I wasn't really into the kid, the little kid surviving in the preschool storyline.

But on second time I watched it, like I felt like everything just reinforces the one or

the other, you know, the they're playing deception and being lied to by people that you trust.

There's like multiple reveals of people who have been telling the truth or fibbing or shining

people on. I continued to like Laurent even though he's like, you know, even a

weirder home school kid this episode. And I, you know, I don't know. It's it's pretty

ham-fisted social commentary. The walking deads engaged in towards the end of this

episode. But I can see like them wanting to, you know, contrast Darryl Dixon, who've

always been kind of shown as, you know, he's a man of the, he's a man of the earth. He likes

his rural living. But he's a decent, he's a fundamentally decent guy. He's a generous. He's a

caring person. He looks after kids. And then you compare it to his asshole from Texas who's

being on children and hoarding everything for himself with no care to anything else.
