I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And we're going to talk a little Darwin ham today. I've been wanting to record this pod for a minute now, looking the season to date and then the season going

forward through Darwin's eyes and experience the best we can. Now, in some ways, every episode

that we do is talking about Darwin and the decisions that he has to agonize over, we're

agonizing over as best we can. But Darius, I can't think of another first-time job, first year of a

first-time head coach that was quite like this. This is one of the most unusual first years

in terms of the circumstances that the coach was going into. And then the circumstances for the

first part of the year

as this team that was in transition that ended up looking very different come late February

and trade deadline than it did at the beginning. And so I've been trying to see who Darwin is

under these really extraordinary circumstances where it's difficult to do that. And so I'd like

to start there. The start of this season and the way that it's difficult to do that. And so I'd like to start there.

The start of this season and the way that it's gone is just so unusual. And I think that it's

important to kind of frame that. So I'd love to hear your thoughts on that, Dee, and just like

what Darwin walked into and what this season has been from a head coach's perspective.
