We have a lot in common, Daryl and I, a lot. And we'll get to a lot of that during this conversation.

So watching Daryl with Kaylee McEnany on Fox News this weekend and then again on the MLB Network

and he was here on Friday for the Fanatics Day. And his new book is coming out too in less than two weeks.

It's going to be an amazing, amazing cell. Here he is, the great number, former great Met and Yankee, my dear friend, Darrell's Strawberry. Darrell, good morning, pal. How are you? Good morning, Sid. How you doing, my brother? I'm doing great. I love you on Fox News on Saturday. And look, you know, it's Jesus Christ for you. It's Hashem for me. I love them both. I don't care.

I'm just happy that there's religion in people's lives because I do think without it, we see what

happens. You know, I believe that school shootings and a lot of other things that go wrong in this

country is because of the lack of religion. So to hear you talk about your faith and what Jesus means to you and how he has

restored sanity and a great life for you was very uplifting on Saturday, Darrell.

Well, thank you so much for having me. Like you said, we have a lot of things in common.

Of course, we have the same haircut, so that makes us really good together.

But, you know, you get a chance to reinvent yourself in this life, and a lot of people don't

take advantage of that, and faith is good, and I think what is missing and what is lacking in a lot

of people is that faith. You know, they're more conform to all this other stuff trying to make them

well. And it doesn't make you well. I had all that. I experienced all that. I'm glad I experienced

all that first. I'm glad I had to go through what I had to go through

to be able to have that platform to play Major League Baseball and be a star and win. And then God would come into my life and transform me to go out there to help others.

And that's what the book is all about.

Another life is not about me.

It's about God giving you a chance to do something for other people that are still out there suffering,

other people that still don't believe.

And I get a chance to go to all these really cool places.
